Alicante
city is one of the most charming cities of Spain,
which is located at 182 km from Valencia. Historically, the
city was founded in 324 BC by the Greeks, who named it Akra
Leuke (White Peak). Between 718 and 1249, the city was ruled
by the Moors. Over the years, the city was besieged by the

in 1873.

etc.
El Barrio is one of the most popular areas of Alicante, it
is situated in the old quarter of the city and it is the meeting
point for nightlife, you will find many restaurants, bars
and taverns. In this old quarter of the city you will also
find historic remains (like medieval walls) that coexist perfectly
with some modern infrastructures. In summer music Festivals
are held in the Old Port square.
